ABOUT JENA

I ensure I stay up to date with the latest research and am providing the best supplements and care for all my clients.

Hello Everyone!

I’m Jena Salisbury a Functional Medicine Nutritionist who has been practicing over 8 years. I received my bachelor’s in dietetics and master certificate in holistic health from Western Michigan University in 2011 — go Broncos!

I also completed CNC (Certified Clinical Nutrition counselor) through the American Nutrition Association. I have been actively practicing Reiki and Urevia energy healing practices. This has made a large impact on a majority of my clients when working through the difficulties of lifestyle changes, old programming, and just to relax and realign with their goals.

I am a certified Reiki teacher and Urevia master. Right out of school, I was blessed with the opportunity to start working with passionate Doctors who believed in powerful alternative modalities to healing and the importance of nutrition. I ensure I stay up to date with the latest research and am providing the best supplements and care for all my clients.

I attend conferences, functional forums and continue to stay up to date with the latest research. Over my years with them, I’ve assisted in creating multiple programs to address prevalent concerns for the majority of our patients. I have worked with thousands of clients to reach their health goals, naturally and effectively.

I have created Innate Medical Nutrition LLC and these programs have perfected them for long-lasting results. Here is my space to share with you my findings and results, answer your questions, and give you ALL of the tools needed to re-balance your body and health long term.

The Team

Dr. Allen Y. Masry, MD, DFAPA, FASAM is Board Certified Adult and Addiction Psychiatrist. SJ Magazine’s Top Addiction Psychiatrist of 2014, Allen Y. Masry, MD, DFAPA,DAAAP, FACFEI is a New Jersey-based, board certified psychiatrist able to assist with both adults and children with many years experience working with inpatient and outpatient psychiatry.

My name is Allen Y. Masry, MD, DFAPA, FASAM. It is my honor to serve as medical director for Innate Medical Nutrition. Jena Salisbury has helped my patients on their path to recovery. She demonstrated a large depth of knowledge in function medicine, something I have an interest in as well. I have been practicing in the field of addiction psychiatry and adult psychiatry for the last 14 years. I have been elected president of the NJ branch of the American society of addiction medicine and am a distinguished fellow of the American psychiatric Association. Yet what I have found in all those years is that you have to treat a person holistically.
I also come to realize there is strong relationship between gut health and overall well being. The GI system interacts with 90% of the brain neurons and 80% of the immune system. In addiction, the immune and neuron systems of the body are damaged from the direct effects of the illicit substances. Some literature would suggest that addiction can lead to damage to the GI system and cause what is called in laymen terms “Leaky Gut”. Jena worked with my client to help repair damage to their leaky gut and this led my motivated clients to heal mentally, physically and from damages of their addiction.

Georgina is the founder of El Jardin Studio, a Yoga and mindfulness studio.  She is a Yoga Instructor with a Master’s in Biotechnology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain.

I was born in La Plata, the capital of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

When I was 15 I started acting school and fell in love with movement and the relationship between movement and emotions. That opened the door to massage and yoga. I enrolled in a massage school and Massage Therapy was my part time job for many years.

One of my favorite childhood memories is the excitement and  fascination I felt when learning new things about the world and life. When it was time to go to college I doubted between physical education and Biology, but eventually decided to enroll in the Zoology program and I got a B.Sc in Biology. I worked for a couple of years in research in Biochemistry/Biophysics (protein-cellular membrane interaction) and in 2003 I got a Masters in Biotechnology in Madrid.

In 2005 I moved to Seattle.  By then I was certain that despite my love for lab work and science i wanted to work for myself and follow my passion for holistic movement and bodywork. I got certified in massage (for the second time) at Brian Utting School of Massage and I completed  my first 200 hr yoga teacher training with 8 Limbs Yoga Centers within the next couple years of arriving in the Pacific Northwest. I completed another 200 hr with Ana Forrest in 2010 and in 2017 I reached the 500 hr YTT level also with 8 limbs.

In 2017 I got an Orthopedic Movement Specialist Certification. My gentle yoga classes are influenced greatly by what I learn in this training lead by a couple respected Physical Therapists and Feldenkrais Practitioners.

I love getting to know different movement modalities and arts. I dance Flamenco and recently starting Pole Dancing. I have explored Animal flow and other body weight movement  schools.

Consciousness and meditation strongly interest me philosophically and spiritually.

Living in Seattle is a continuous invitation to hike, paddle board, ski and being active outside. I like to do as many of those things as I can with friends, my two kids and husband.
